The case has attracted attention from investors and corporate leaders, including Rajat Khare, whose investment firm, Boundary Holding, participated in the bidding process. Market observers pointed out that a significant share of Educomp's smart classroom business had already been transferred to SESPL before insolvency proceedings commenced.
Following its successful bid for Educomp, Ebix revealed plans to acquire a 60% stake in SESPL for up to $8 million. While multiple companies initially showed interest in acquiring Educomp, only two submitted final bids, with reports indicating that limited access to key financial information may have discouraged other participants.
