A stalled encounter in Path of Exile 2 can look like a resource problem when the real issue is progression. Before spending Path of Exile 2 Currency on a new setup or replaying a long route, check what actually stopped working. The 0.5.5e update addressed specific Ritual, area access, and loading problems, so the useful first step is to identify which situation you are facing.
Separate a missing Ritual from an unfinished sequence
One 0.5.5e fix addressed Ritual encounters that could fail to start after certain bosses were killed. If your progress stopped immediately after a boss fight, that detail makes the encounter worth checking again with an updated client. It does not establish that every missing Ritual has the same cause.
Look around the area and review the encounter steps you have completed before retracing the entire route. If you have not followed a required sequence, correct that first. If the sequence appears complete and the Ritual still does not start, note the boss and location rather than assuming your character or build is responsible.
Check the Tomb entrance before repeating the route
The update also addressed an issue that could prevent access to the Tomb of the Fallen Knight. A blocked approach deserves a different response from an area that begins loading but never opens. Check your quest state and the route to the entrance so you know which part of the process has failed.
If an objective remains incomplete, work on that objective before treating the entrance itself as the problem. If the objective is complete, return through the normal route and try the entrance again. This approach is especially useful after a difficult fight, when repeating the entire journey without a clear reason can cost more time than checking the immediate surroundings.
Treat slow transitions as a separate problem
Patch 0.5.5e fixed an issue that made some areas particularly slow to load. That change does not promise identical loading performance across PCs and consoles, and a slow transition alone does not prove that the same issue has returned. Give the area time to load before making another attempt.
Pay attention to the scope of the delay. A problem tied to one entrance is useful information to record alongside its location, while delays across several areas are a different pattern. Avoid changing several unrelated settings at once; otherwise, even if loading improves, you will have trouble identifying which change mattered.
Keep retries focused and rewards in perspective
These fixes concern access to existing content, not a confirmed extra Forbidden Rites reward tier or challenge. If seasonal rewards are your goal, use the objectives displayed in the game to decide what to pursue. A stalled encounter is a reason to check progression, not evidence that an additional reward is waiting behind it.
When a repeat attempt fails, write down the location, the steps immediately before the problem, and whether it happened more than once. Those details make a report more useful and help you distinguish a repeatable issue from a missed requirement. There is no need to remake a character simply because one encounter failed to start.
For your next attempt, update the client and return to the specific encounter or entrance that stopped you. Hold off on spending POE 2 Chaos Orbs to change your build unless you have a separate reason to do so; the fixes described here address progression and loading, not a need for different equipment.
